ABout Oliver Moore

With more than 21 years of hands-on experience in arboriculture, Oliver Moore brings a depth of practical knowledge built through years of working in the tree industry—not simply accumulated through a team or business, but developed firsthand through working on the tools and solving real-world arboricultural challenges. Originally from the UK, Oliver holds a Certificate III in Arboriculture and is currently completing his Diploma, alongside multiple industry certifications gained throughout his career. His work has taken him across Europe and parts of the United States before settling in Australia in 2015.

Over the past five years, Oliver has expanded his focus into arboricultural training and education, helping the next generation of arborists develop their technical skills, knowledge and approach to safe, effective tree work. This commitment to training and education was recognised in 2026 when Oliver was honoured with an award from Arboriculture Australia. He also competes at a high level in tree climbing competitions throughout Victoria, at the Australian National Championships and across the Asia-Pacific region.

Oliver is a committee member of the Victorian Tree Industry Organisation and regularly contributes as a speaker at industry events, sharing practical knowledge and experience with arborists across the industry. More recently, he has taken his educational approach online through Tree_climber_ollie, producing videos covering climbing techniques, work systems, safe work practices, equipment recommendations and honest reviews of arboricultural gear currently available to the industry.

Away from the trees, Oliver is supported by his partner, Nikki, who works in the power distribution trade. Together, they are preparing to welcome their first child, who will soon be joining them—and their much-loved dog, Floyd—for the next chapter of their lives.
